Sermon Text: Isaiah 52:13-53:12
Theme: The Lord appointed Jesus to be His Suffering Servant so that the all the sins of His unrighteous people would be borne away forever through His death.
Structure/points: Isa. 52:13-53:12 is a prophecy, written roughly 700 years before the life, death, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus. Through His prophet, the Lord revealed to His OT people not only what Messiah was coming to do, but why. As those who live after Christ’s resurrection from the dead, we can look back on how the Lord prepared His people for what the Messiah went through in His work and suffering.
