Sermon Text: 2 Samuel 22:26-51
Theme: Those whom the Lord has given salvation praise and magnify God as their only rock because He has established the eternal reign of His King over all the earth
Structure/points: When the Lord intervened to save David from his enemies, He did not simply move David from “danger” to “not-good-not-bad.” When David considered the Lord’s dealings with him, he saw that the Lord had established his kingdom and given him victory over his enemies. His life of fear and despair had become one of confidence and praise. The Lord had done great things in David and for David, so David praised the Lord for it. As those who have received much from the Lord, we are obligated to join David’s song of praise and thanksgiving to our Rock and salvation.
- God’s perfect way (vv. 26-32)
