Once Pagan; Then Christian; Now Pagan Again?!

Sermon Text: Galatians 4:8-11 (Romans 1:18-23 for context)

Theme:  A church that renounces the saving knowledge of God converts back to the spiritual slavery that Christ rescued them from.

Structure/points:  Since Gal. 2:15 and onward, Paul has explained the salvation and justification that Christians have from God through Christ.  Yet the Galatians were on the very cusp of renouncing their faith in Christ for the false faith offered by the Judaizing heretics.  In order to restore them to the Lord in repentance, Paul must awaken them to their spiritual peril.  The only way he can do this to deliver a shock to their system. The Galatians were devolving from Christianity back into paganism, and Paul was called to state this plainly to them.
