Sermon Text: 2 Samuel 21:1-14
Theme: The guilt of the sins of God’s people demands that blood be shed before the wrath and curse of the Lord can be removed from upon them.
Structure/points: In 2 Samuel 21:1-14, we find David ruling Israel during a very difficult season because of a great sin that had been committed by Saul. Moral guilt hung over all the people of God because an evil had been done, and that guilt had to be dealt with in order for Israel to enjoy the blessings of being the people of God. But the price of removing the guilt of sin was steep and tragic.
