Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth. — 2 Timothy 2:15
SUNDAY EDUCATION HOUR
Adult Education: In 2016 we adopted the excellent study materials of the ESV Study Bible as the basis for our education and equipping ministry for adults. In that year we worked through an overview of biblical doctrine, from knowing God through His Word through the Person of Christ. As this year (2017) is the 500th Anniversary of the Protestant Reformation our studies have focused on the issue of Scripture alone (sola Scriptura). We have studied how Roman Catholicism, Eastern Orthodoxy, Liberalism, and Evangelicalism have approached the doctrine of Scripture. In 2018 we will return to studies in major doctrines, covering the Work of Christ and the Person and Work of the Holy Spirit. Also, each year we devote the last quarter of the year to a biographical study of a godly Christian’s life and testimony. The teaching of these adult classes is shared by several experienced men to whom God has given the gift and calling to teach.
Youth Education: Our education hour includes a regular schedule of Youth Ministry classes for elementary students, middle school, and high school students. Our curriculum is normally based on the Great Commission materials produced for the Presbyterian Church in America. These materials are Christ-centered and seek to present the scope of God’s work in the Bible by lessons which span the Scriptures. Rather than being moralistic lessons on how to behave, our curriculum seeks to enable our children to be knowledgeable in the sacred scriptures which are able to make them wise unto salvation through faith in Jesus Christ (2 Timothy 3:14-15).

WOMEN’S MINISTRY
Bible Study
>The women of Providence seek to be women of the Word. In the Friday weekly daytime study they gather to study biblical books, biblical themes, and godly Christian authors. Their constant aim is to be taught and trained to be faithful readers and interpreters of God’s Word. Besides biblical nurture, the women of Providence seek to bear each other’s burdens. They do this by prayer and practical deeds of service. Further, as a special concern they lift up their sisters in Christ whose family and employment concerns do not allow them to share in this fellowship.Other
