Honor for Honor, Dishonor for Dishonor

Sermon Text: 1 Samuel 2:27-36

Theme: God condemned Eli’s family to dishonor because they had shown utter contempt for Him and His worship. 

Structure/points:  When God sent one His prophets to confront Eli, he brought a message of judgment for the sins of his household.  This prophetic announcement has three parts to it: 

  1. The reminder of grace
  2. The accusation of contempt
  3. The pronouncement of judgment
