Sermon Text: 1 Samuel 17:55-18:9

Theme: The favor God showed to His anointed sowed the first seeds of division among those who recognized the Lord’s will to elevate him to kingship over His people. 

Structure/points:  After his slaying of Goliath, David’s life changed forever.  But the Lord would continue to be with him and give him success in accomplishing His will.  As people began to recognize this, they began to decide whether or not they liked David and whether or not they would submit to God’s will.  This comes out through…
